The Late Mr. Jaini�s Estate

Summary
The estate of the late R. B. Jugmanderlal Jaini, M.A., M.R.A.S., Bar-at-Law, former President of the Legislative Committee of Holkar State, Indore (1877-1929), was managed by Mr. Joharilal Mital, M.A., LL.B., who realized the funds and settled nearly all outstanding accounts. During the reporting period, several publications were completed, including *Shri Gomatsar Jivkand*, *Karamkand Part I*, *Atmanushasan*, and Jaini’s translation of *Samayasara*, supervised by Pt. Ajit Prasadji, M.A., LL.B., Judge of the High Court, Bikaner. On the recommendation of Dr. L. C. Jain, M.A., LL.B., Ph.D., a donation of Rs. 500 was given to furnish the library of the Jain Hostel, Allahabad, and all of Jaini’s books were sent to the library to perpetuate his name. The estate’s assets, including a motor car, Post Office Cash Certificates, shares, bonds, and debentures, were disposed of, and the proceeds were used to repay the Imperial Bank of India’s loan in London. After depositing £500 with the Imperial Bank of India, London, in the names of Dr. Thomas and Herbert Warren for Jainism propagation, the remaining balance was transferred to the Imperial Bank of India, Indore Branch. A detailed income and expenditure statement of the estate is provided separately. The trustees, Brahmachari Sital Prasad and Lalchand B. Sethi, were appointed under Jaini’s last will.
