Summary

The final section of Sambodhi volume 4, numbers 3–4, presents an edited text of a small work titled ‘Jaina Ihsralitaka’. The editor describes the manuscript source: it belongs to the Muni Punyavijaya Collection at the L.D. Institute of Indology in Ahmedabad and dates to around 1550 CE. The manuscript consists of five folios, each with seventeen lines and fifty‑eight letters per line. It is well preserved, legible and lacks a colophon or author’s name. The editor notes that this is the only known manuscript of the work and suggests that it may have been written by the author himself. The text is reproduced in the publication without commentary. The editor emphasises that making such obscure texts accessible is crucial for reconstructing the diversity of Jain literature and for preserving cultural heritage.
