In later sections, Pokharna examines contemporary theories in quantum mechanics, quantum biology and particle physics, drawing analogies to Jain notions of karma, gunasthāna and phase transitions. He emphasises that both Jaina thought and modern science accept that knowledge is approximate and that reality is best understood through multiple perspectives. By comparing the Jain doctrine of karmas—with its classifications by nature, number, lifetime and intensity—to quantum states of matter, the article illustrates the depth of the parallels. It concludes with a discussion of Syādvāda (the doctrine of relativity of viewpoints) and argues that this philosophical framework prefigures modern notions of complementarity and uncertainty in physics.

Conclusion

Pokharna concludes that modern physics and biology, despite their methodological differences, are moving toward principles long articulated in Jaina philosophy. Concepts such as the multiplicity of viewpoints, the interdependence of soul and matter and the self‑consistent structure of the universe find echoes in quantum theory, relativity and systems biology. The convergence suggests that Jainism offers a holistic framework for understanding nature that integrates scientific knowledge with ethical imperatives like non‑violence and self‑restraint. The article thus posits Jain philosophy as a scientifically resonant worldview whose metaphysical insights complement and sometimes anticipate contemporary scientific theories.
