Summary

This first issue is dedicated to revered Gurudev, as 2012-13 marks his birth centenary year. The editor has made a small effort to present his thoughts with purpose. Although readers have likely seen, heard, read, and understood Acharya Tulsi many times, and may have resolved to put his teachings into practice, his discourses, literature, thinking, and experimental nature are so impactful, inspiring, and vital that each reading reveals something new. This work is to be read for its utility alone; even a single step toward understanding and practice can be considered a meaningful achievement. It is also a fortunate coincidence that the Terapanth society's apex institution, the Jain Shwetambar Terapanthi Mahasabha, also celebrates its centenary year, necessitating greater momentum in preparations. Acharya Mahashramanji has sent a message urging us to become vow-takers, great vow-takers, seekers of the self, and self-disciplined individuals. This beginning is preparation for becoming self-determined. We should become excellent Shravaks and also be seen as such, as being seen alongside being is an honest effort. Whether on a birthday or a new year, self-examination is a lesson in life. One should ask oneself what has been done and what remains. This spiritual tradition of self-inquiry always flowed in Acharya Tulsi's consciousness. His literature testifies that whether on a birthday or a twenty-fifth or fiftieth anniversary, he engaged in self-reflection and shared his story in his own words. This process appears both as a challenge of his intellectual maturity and religious revolution and as a high leap toward the peak of spirituality. This self-reflection contains the sunshine of struggles and the shade of successful achievements, signatures of development and simple acceptance of self-observation, administrative style and constitution, and expressions of gratitude. Making life transparent like a mirror without any calculation is a symbol of awakened consciousness. The beginning, middle, and end of Acharya Tulsi's life are so radiant and captivating that one wishes to touch them repeatedly. The centenary year's dates are

Conclusion

This centenary year is not merely a time for celebration but a call for deep personal transformation and collective action. The document emphasizes that true homage to Acharya Tulsi lies not in ritual but in self-change, urging readers to become self-disciplined, introspective, and visible in their spiritual practice. The implications are clear: the community must move from preparation to execution, completing unfinished tasks and embodying the ideals of their gurus. The outcome sought is a documented legacy of achievement, where every individual’s self-transformation contributes to a brighter, shared future under the guidance of Acharya Mahashraman. This year is framed as a decisive moment to turn ninety-nine percent readiness into one hundred percent realization.
